Engine 41

This engine is used primarily for fighting grass fires and is used on most of our calls.

While this is not the ideal unit to use on a structural fire it does function as an additional

water supply for our structural fighting truck shown in the bottom photo.  This is an ideal

truck for fighting grass fires due to its ability to pump water while in motion.

Engine 42

This engine is used primarily for motor vehicle accidents due to its ability to

dispense a foam.  Foam is used to smother a fire that would normally chemically

react to the direct application of plain water.  This engine is also ideal for fighting

grass fires too due to its ability to pump and roll also.  This unit also contains our

“Jaws of Life” and other essential tools to aid us in getting to a patient trapped

in a vehicle.  This unit is generally used on all calls because of its vast amount

of trauma ,medical and rescue equipment.

Engine 46

This engine is used solely for fighting structural fires due to its ability to

ONLY being able to pump while not in motion.  While the other trucks have a

separate pumping system, this engine uses the power train of the truck

itself to run the pump and therefore must be stationary.
