11-18-01 At approximately 7:45pm Klondike Fire Dept
was dispatched to a
major motor vehicle accident
which occurred on highway 24 near 904
near the roadside park. 2 vehicles were involved with one occupant
in each
vehicle. Both drivers suffered minor injuries. Commerce Fire Dept was
first dispatched believing it
was in Hunt County and finding out once on
scene it was in Delta
County. Commerce remained on scene for
support
with approximately 6
personnel and Klondike included the support of
6 personnel. The accident suspended traffic for about 45
minutes or so.
11-25-01
At
approximately 3pm Klondike Fire Dept was dispatched to a grass fire
that took 2 departments, 4 trucks and about an hour
to tap out.
The fire involved about 50 acres and 20 or so hay
bales This occurred
at approximately 1 mile off of Highway 24 down FM
1531 and at
the end of CR 2050.
